I'm a freelance writer and podcast producer with over a decade of experience in communications, journalism, and media relations. After working in various roles with CBC, The Walrus, and other organizations, I now focus on creating compelling content across different platforms. Currently based in Portugal, I work with clients globally to help them tell their stories effectively.
I have more than ten years of experience working in communications, journalism, and media relations, including in corporate, non-profit, government, hospital, and university environments. Following grad school, I worked for various media including broadcasting, at the CBC, and in documentary production and magazine publishing at the Walrus. I have also held positions in academic and government communications and corporate online marketing. Currently, I work full-time as a freelance podcast producer, writer, and editor.
I have a broad range of technical communications skills, including in: website content production and management, social media, print and graphic design, and audio and video editing.
Part time evening courses totalling more than 150 program hours. Courses included those on: communications planning and strategies, social media, story telling, Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator and InDesign, intellectual property rights, and project management.
